AUBURN, Ala.- The City of Auburn and Auburn University's New Venture Accelerator will host a workshop for those interested in mentoring small businesses and startups on May 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The workshop will give potential or interested volunteer coaches the opportunity to learn about SCORE, a nonprofit organization that provides free, confidential advice to small businesses. Volunteer coaches will have the opportunity to work with small businesses and startups, providing them with guidance, support and encouragement as they develop their businesses.

Participants are encouraged to register online. The workshop will be held at the New Venture Accelerator located at 540 Devall Drive, Suite 101, in Auburn.
